Arranging Prefix Placement
Procedure
- Choose input and output files. See Force ANSI / Remove BOM.
The first 9 lines of the input file are displayed in the Input Top area.
- Select the Arrange control.
- Select either:
- The Start control.
When the Start control is selected, each of the 9 lines shown in the Input Top
area are re-arranged such that an identified prefix - as listed in the Prefix List box - is positioned
at the beginning (start) of the line. The re-arranged lines are displayed in the Output Top area.
or
- The End control.
When the End control is selected, the Place Before / After Parentheses control
is displayed.
- Optionally, select either:
- The Before control.
When the Before control is selected, each of the 9 lines shown in the Input Top area
are re-arranged such that an identified prefix - as listed in the Prefix List box - is positioned to the
left of (before) any parentheses-enclosed date. The re-arranged lines are displayed in the Output Top area.
or
- The After control.
When the After control is selected, each of the 9 lines shown in the Input Top area
are re-arranged such that an identified prefix - as listed in the Prefix List box - is positioned
to the right of (after) any parentheses-enclosed date. The re-arranged lines are displayed in the Output Top area.
- Select either:
- The Text control.
or
- The HTML control.
- Optionally,
- Select an output format - DOS or UNIX.
By default, the output file will be DOS formatted.
- Click the OK button to create the output file.
