Recoding Numerical Entities

Procedure

1. Choose input and output files. See Force ANSI / Remove BOM.
2. Select the Replace control.
3. Select the Entities control.
4. Select either:
   • The Dec control.
     When the Dec control is selected, all hexadecimal numeric entities are recoded as decimal numeric entities.
       or
   • The Hex control.
     When the Hex control is selected, all decimal numeric entities are recoded as hexadecimal numeric entities.
5. Select either:
   • The Text control.
       or
   • The HTML control.
6. Optionally,
   • Select an output format - DOS or UNIX. By default, the output file will be DOS formatted.
7. Click OK to create the output file.
